und Passivseite, der GuV sowie der Betriebszahlen gegenüber dem Vorjahr.

number and the EDP-code and in addition to that information on the fact whether a company is quoted or not.
The rasons why there are no more corrent data available on a certain company can be obtained from the field
"SK". The field "IN" shows the accounting method and the type of statement on income the annual accounts are
based on.

verschreibungspflichtigen Arzneimitteln und OTC Medikamenten bis hin zu fluorierten Stoffen des täglichen
Gebrauchs, ist gesetzlich als Arzneimittel definiert. Die Medikation nahrungsmittelproduzierender Tiere wird
genau beschrieben. Sowohl was ihre Effizienz als auch was mögliche Rückstände, die in die Nahrungskette
gelangen könnten, angeht. Die Definition ist auch hier umfassend: Bestandteile von Glasuren in der Töpferei in
Verbindung mit Nahrungsmitteln könnten z.B. so definiert werden müssen. Deshalb muß die Unschädlichkeit
von chemischen Zusätzen, Verarbeitungsverfahren und Verpackungsmaterial genau untersucht werden. Der
leichte Zugang, den diese Datenbank bietet, liefert ein wertvolles Nachschlagewerk für Unternehmen der
verschiedensten Richtungen, wie der Herstellungs-, Produktversorgungs- und Serviceleistungsindustrie bis hin
zu den Industriezweigen, die sich mit den von der Datenbank erklärten Bestimmungen direkt auseinandersetzen

is safe; (2) that drugs - human and veterinary - biological products and medical devices are safe and effective;
and (3) that cosmetics are unadulterated. Scope is very broad: everything from prescription drugs and OTC
remedies to fluoridated preparations in daily use is legally defined as a drug. Medication for food-producing
animals is closely monitored both for efficacy and for potential residue which may enter the food chain. In food,
too, definitions are wide: components in pottery glaze in contact with food may be so defined, and thus the
safety of chemical additives, processing methods and packaging materials has to be closely monitored. The
